Cannes is another delightful place to visit with very sandy beaches and a beautifully set out marina and promenade area in the town centre adjoining the various beaches along this lovely coastal strip, the old fort is visible at the top of the hill with the typical French apartment blocks edging the marina area. Cannes is another relaxing town with its main claim to fame being its annual film festival and the many quality restaurants and retail shops in the area. The marina caters for some amazing sea going cruisers and a multitude of very large yachts which we imagine only get used a few months a year if they are lucky.
