Even though I was on holiday I managed to get up early one day and catch the sunrise over Cap Ferrat. The reason for the early rise was to watch the start of the Nice Marathon which finished at Cannes some 42ks down the coast. The race started at 7.00 so there was activity everywhere with 14,000 plus starters and I guess another 20,000 watchers.
