Liz & Paul's European Adventure

Kusadasi - Ephesus
The ruins start at the top of the hill and meander down to what was once the shoreline area. Many treasures have been uncovered but sometimes it is the small items which intrigue us like these drainage pipes which run for kilometers. Apparently the Romans were excellent plumbers and drainers and these items are thousands of years old and still nearly as good as the day they were made. The photo also shows the many stone pieces that have been unearthed all waiting to be put back into the jigsaw puzzle that once was Ephesus.
