well hello. It would seem that it likes to rain in Krabi in the afternoon. I'm not talking English rain im talking aussie rain!! So Neil and I have decided to play on the computer. What did people do before these things?
Today we decided to hire a motorbike. Hmm. It was really good and after the first hour i wasn't so worried! We went around to a load of beaches and some places that were hit in 2004. No one is around, the place is dead. Great for us but you feel for the locals. You can see that they are re building everything and it all looks great. We are told it is still low season (for the next two weeks) and then it will pick up. While driving today we got a flat tyre. Now we are in the middle of a place where do don't know how to speak thai and many don't know how to speak English. Some kids pulled over, laughed at us, said a few things to each other and laughed some more (none of this really healping) then pointed to go back to where we came from. For some reason, i dont know why, we listened to them. Turns out they were right but it was only a basic service station and they couldn't help us. The tube in the tyre had blown. But it turns out about 2km (!!!) down the road someone will be able to help us. So we decide that Neil should go and i will stay here and wait with the women who doesnt speak english. Neil was back within 40min and turns out something smaller than a grain of rice had caused us all this trouble. So we kept going and the sights are just amamzing. its like it is all out of a movie only 1000 times better. Then at about 3pm the skys opened and we decided it might be time to head back! Its now 4pm and still going strong.
It was a good day and both Neil and I have burnt knees. Tomorrow were are doing some thing around some little islands. Go for a swim and a boat ride. Then we might hit phi phi island. We hear there is a full moon party on the 21st. Might have to have a few more buckets!!!
Take care
