23rd March Left border at 10am and headed for Puno which is on the shores of Lake Titicaca. We stopped for breakfast with our first sightings of the Lake. Up at 6am. We went to Madness cycling and got our bikes, helmets, wet weather gear, vests. Headed to Coroico, the Death Road. The first 25kms of the road was bitumen with lots of traffic.
