Due to us enjoying Granada's pleasant & relaxing atmosphere (bar the thieving gypsy b******s!), we decided to stay just one more night. So we used the morning to begin sorting out the paperwork that we knew would land on our laps after being away for just over 6 months. This took us into early afternoon, when we strolled out to see the other half of the sights we'd missed yesterday. Just as we headed out, the streets suddenly became awash with noise. People were loaded into buses, vans & cars, hanging out the windows with all the cars horns blaring. There was a massive celebration happening in Managua (the capital) to mark the president getting into power again & the government had laid on free buses from the other towns around the country to bring his supporters in to party. So the town was a bit quieter once the masses had departed, leaving us to visit a couple more churches, a cathedral, a bell tower, a Market & several colonial buildings followed by a quick dip in the hotel's'slightly-undeserving-of-the-name' pool. It did however double as a sort of jacuzzi, so no complaints here really.
After our 2 nights on the trot intermingling with the tourists, we decided to head off the main strip for some dinner. We did head back via the Irish bar, but then again, how can you not have at least one drink in the place you're guaranteed entertainment no matter where you find them, in whatever country, everywhere!
