I am enjoying reqding your blogs on India. Remind me where i can fond your write ups on the places you stayed. We have been in South Africa since we left Chile, the western and estern Capes. I dont know if you have already been here, but if not you will want to come. Accomodations and food are about half that they were in Chile. Continue to enjoy your travels.

Hi Shelly and Dom,
I have enjoyed all your comments and pictures of all the lovely places you have been. For what I can gather you are having a time of your life. I did like very much the pictures of Vietnam, it looks like the kind of a place I would like to see, but South America!!! Yes I like that very much. Apart from the riot in Chile, did you get to enjoy the place, specially their wine? I am sure the wine there is very cheap but the quality should be very good. Well, it seems you are doing well on your travels, just keep the Blog going as I am looking forward for your next venture.
Miss you lots
Lots of LOVE to you both xx

Hi Guy;s, still sounds like you're having fun and not home sick yet. I am reading your blog and thinking why did i not do that it sounds so great, then i remembered i am not so good with the heat or creepy crawlies. lol. Hope you are both keeping well, you are both looking good in your photo's. Thanks for my birthday message, i had a great day. Stay safe and i am looking forward to your next blog and seeing some more photo's.

Really enjoyed the Bali blog - about time you posted a new update! It brought back loads of good memories and i'm glad you made it to Gili T in the end. 'Flies round s***' is how i'd describe the locals at the sight of a westerner, but it's all part of the fun. i did take exception, though, when i was offered (on several occasions) a cross bow and a samurai sword on Kuta Beach. i presume Dom didn't require any such weapons now he's a Nam veteren?
Keep the blogs coming!
Shelly
Carl we love your messages! Our Bali blog is coming soon so you can compare your experiences! So the green fleece saga continues??!!! X

Hi Shell & Dom, I've just been catching up on your travels. Glad to hear that you're having a great time. Now that you've left India I bet you feel as though you're all wrapped up in cotton wool!
Vietnam sounds fantastic. You make me want to get my backpack on & come & join you! Shell, when you're next having a made-to-measure outfit made, can you please sort out a green fleece for me?! You know my size!
Did I read somewhere that you are going to Indonesia? The scenery around some of their volcanic regions is stunning. Mount Batur in Bali is well worth a trip. When i was backpacking there I stayed in a little hut right on the edge of the caldera with amazing views. That was a long time ago though. There's probably a McDonald's & a Boots there now (hopefully not). Also, in Java, Mount Bromo was amazing. I did the sunrise thing & trekked to the top in the early hours to catch the first light. I felt like I was on the moon! My photos look as though I was on the moon as well. Those photos are still some of the best I've ever taken.
Ubud in Bali is a must but Kuta beach is somewhere to avoid. It was rubbish 20 years ago so I can't imagine what it's like now. I remember walking down to the shop to buy some water one evening & I was approached by loads of dodgy characters & offered everything you can imagine; drugs of every description, girls, boys(!), massages, you get the picture. I remember even being offered a rabbit! I wasn't sure what they thought I was going to do with it (or to it), but maybe something went awry in translation there! I was young then & a bit green so I found it all a bit daunting at the time. Now, I'd just tell them to F off! Gawd knows what they're offering now!
Well, continue having a great time guys, and above all, stay safe.
