A long day spent travelling today as we make our way towards San Francisco. We arrived in a foggy Selma to the warmest welcome ever but were too tired to try the windmill restaurant!

San Diego, California
Stayed at the Sheraton in San Diego, lovely hotel, again with comfy beds in the Mission District. Went on a tour of San Diego including the beach, waterfront, old town and the gaslamp district, a delightful place with the best weather.
Los Angeles, California
Today was the best! We went to Universal Studios, it was fab especially the back lot tour but I think taking dad on 'The Mummy' rollercoaster may have been a mistake! Mind you I was more scared by a sphinx after the ride! We were all totally cream crackered! After a 3 hour drive to San Diego, we just about stayed awake for dinner at Denny's before collapsing into bed at 9 pm!

After the Hollywood Bowl, we went to the Chinese theatre, here we had our picture taken with Marilyn Monroe and searched for our favourites amongst the stars! Mine was Michael Jackson of course! Allan couldn't get over how tiny John Wayne's feet were!

Leaving the Chinese Theatre, we passed the hotel where John Belushi died and then the hotel where Pretty Woman was filmed. It was then on to Beverly Hills. Sadly we didn't see Posh and Becks! After Rodeo Drive we had lunch at the Farmers Market, we all had something different, it was like dining at the world restaurant! A beer or two was also had!
