Chilling out on the Copacabana and then at 6.30pm we we went to the Maracan Stadium for a football match between Botafogo and Cruzeiro. The food and beer were really cheap, I had meat on a stick. We met quite a few people and had several beers!! Botafogo-the team from Rio-surprisingly won 1-0! After the match we headed back to the hostel where we continued drinking and then went to a reggae club in Ipanema. The club wasnt up to much, they give you these ridiculous cards which you hand in at the end, therefore paying for beers and entry at the end of the night. Paudie lost his!! Thankfully they let him leave for free and we got a taxi home without getting mugged or shot at!!
