Ok i am really bad at these Blog things! we have been so busy moving around and with the rest of the group that it is Hard to think right i am going to sit on the computer! but i have some time now so here is the update for the last 8 days!
Had a wicked time in San Pedro it was a really chilled out little town on the edge of the Dessert! we had the choice of a tour of the Desert or sand boarding....we picked sand boarding ofcourse! i was scared after my failed Snowboarding attempt but gave it a go any way! and oh my days it was so much fun! i was shocking but enjoyed it anyway!
so the expreinces started by us looking at this huge Sand dune and the instructor informed us we have to lifts your left one and your right one! bearing in mind it is 30 degrees we all begin to think we have mad a bad desision! but begin to march up this dune! at the top we are given brief instructions and strapped onto out board ( just like a snowboard) then off we went! the sand was so much friendlyer than the dry ski slope but got everywhere and i mean everywhere! after a few fun but failed atempts the instructor informs me i can sit on the back of my board and use it like a sledge!! well that was the must fun i had!!!
After sandboarding it was off to see the sunset! we got to ride in the back of the Truck which made me feel well at home heehee!!!
.....we were give to options for the Sunset follow the sheep and go where everyone goes or go some place diffrent with a few beers! your never guess what we choice! so the fun begins we stop and the only way is up and we litrally have yo climp up the side of a sandy cliff! it was well scary and at points i felt vertical! i refused to look up or down i jsut climbed( did not help i had a big bottle of coke in my hand) but i made it and the view was worth it!!!
We left San Pedro the Next afternoon for Santiago we flew this time yay the plane took off! the hotel was very posh in Santiago not like we were used to but it was far out from anywhere which was a shame!
we did a morning city tour of Santiago, and if i am honest there was not loads to see! it is jsut a very built up city! then we took the bus to the seaside! it was meant to take 2 hours and it was more like 3 and we got dropped off at this seafood restrant! it was nice but well expensive! ( my belly was better so my first proper meal in like 10 days!! was like heaven!) the red flag was flying on the Beach so we were all disapointed so jsut sat and chilled in the sun for the afternoon before returning to Santiago!
It was the end of the tour so we were slowly saying good bye to people whcih sad when you had got so close! we and a few others had extra time to kill so needed somewhere to stay for the night! seemed like everywhere was full but we found a room in a hostel in the end! we were kindof dreading it but it was prefectly nice and cheap! a winner with us! and the best banana pancakes for breakfast yummy yummy!
Our last day was spent having a picnic in the park and playing cards was preftect before a flight at 11 in the evening to New Zealand
