Hi all again. Im in hollywood, LA now. We landed at 1.10pm on the 5 july which is pretty good as we left fiji at 10pm on the 5 july. This was due to passing though the international date line and not being able to go back in time. After getting pass usa customs which took ages, we got to a hostel about 4pm. After a short nap, afterall I had been up for quite awhile. We(Peter & Stephanie people i meet in fiji) went up to the walk of fame on hollywood blvd. Checked out the stars on the ground then had pizza for dinner. As most people know everything is bigger over here, with the food being so big you could live on one meal a day. We deceided to only get a normal size as we dont really want to come home 5 stones heavier. After that we found some bar called snow whites which was cool as they served vodka and mixer in pint glasses, unsure how much vodka goes in but at least 3 shots and all for $7. The next day we got the bus to malibu beach, for a lazy sunday of course. A little more sunbathing while on the beach wont hurt. Monday was spent doing the whole hollywood stars homes thing. Homes we were driven past included elvis former home, julie roberts, eddie murphys, tom cruise, beckhams and a load more. That took us up to lunch, a visit to johnie rockets. An american burger place which surprisingly serves rather large portions. After lunch it was the standard open top bus tour around hollywood including some window shopping in rodeo drive. That night we had a meal at some pizza place as peter & stephs friends who had joined us was off in the morning to vegas. The tuesday was spent at universal studios, doing all of the rides and a few little shows. We paided out for front of line passes so no queing for us. Dinner that night was a thai resturant, before getting the bus home, the buses here are cheap as $5 gets you an all day ticket. Although there does seem to be a lot of weirdos on the buses over here, lets hope this is a hollywood thing. Wednesday I was back on my own as the others was off on there trip to vegas, so arranged the coach to san francisco for thursday, then bused it to santa monica beach for the afternoon/evening. Thats pretty much wraps up my time in LA.
