hi Debs, glad to hear you're having a good time. Huge amounts of snow here today. Drifting up to 2 or 3 inches in places. Only took 3 minutes to make a decent snowball.

Snowed in today....lost the car, had to dig it out by hand, then skied into work passing a mammoth, peguins and iceberg on the way........honest!!! Brrrrrr

How's it going?? Hope Oz is still treating you well and that you have by now naturally caught your first tube and sunk your first "tinnie".......watch out for those sharks,pleased to hear that your shark survival pencil defence skills are still up to scratch, take care its a jungle out there...

 The residential place sounds interesting, esp the efficacy of their detox programmes. It's often been accepted that young people can detox off opiates "quicker" than us adult's due to the nature of their use etc......should we then be given them an introduction to Methadone and another "addiction"....please debate and return your 1000 word essay by the close of play Sunday!!

 Things here are OK, we're having some fun and games with the commissioners at the moment, I'll let you know the full heady details on your return, deep joy....we're now in "full" retendering/bidding mode (whatever that is!!??) but of more importance is the fact that Newcastle gained 3 points on wed night and that "the gooners" (minus Thierry!) reached the final of the Carling Cup....

Well must dash, not sure where you are now, but wherever have fun and look after yourself.

Great to hear from you and that you arrived safely......thanks for the photies...... Hmmmmmmm Scotsman on Manly beach, dodgy Huh, you'll get a wet sporan surfing like that! Brought back a few memories for me.....no sight of the sea as I stare out of the office this Monday morn, just the usual greyness!!

Things here OK, meeting with NTA in London on Fri was the usual stuff, the admission by the NTA of providing the field with no practical help in the whole of it's existence and a commitment to carry on in the same vein i.e recording useless data and measuring service performance against it ....but hey it was a day out in London so not all bad.

Enjoyed the piccies of the sharks, they're irristable in a scary kind of way...I imagine that the bridge walk will be next on the agenda.....don't do it!!its a bridge, designed to be a bridge and not for walking over...it's just wrong!

Anyway, must dash and trawl through a whole durge of less interesting e-mails.....
