After a stroll along a really tacky beach in Italy we headed for dinner at a lovely little restaurant in San Remo and had seafood dishes Jimmy made a friend with an Italian man who tried to kiss him when he left (as thats what Italian men do to friends) - Jimmy was having none of it. Arrived at Hearow - No Helen to pick us up as she had locked her key in the car in the car park. Evventually found her and had early night as very tired.Attempted the tube by ourselves on Friday and made it to Tower Bridge in one piece. From La Spezia we caught a train to Pisa - we had a very long walk with our bags through the town to the Tower - whihch was well worth - the heat is very dry and Darlene loves it - the others aren't so happy about it. Considering she is the onlyone not lugging a heavy bag around. We had lunch in Pisa and then back onthe train towards Florence. We left Grasse and spent the morning in Canne - we went to the festival hall and got our photos on the steps where the stars walk up and looked at the celebrity hand prints, lots of designer shops. Very similar to the Gold Coast. For the afternoon we drove to a beautiful village called St Paul De Vence - another fortified village with stunning views of the valley. After Pont du Gard we headed South East to Grasse just above Canne - we stayed at a beautiful Bastile with hosts Judith and Rolph making us very welcome with local orange and rose wine. beautiful views over looking Canne. Dinner at lovely Italian resturant.
