Our next stop after Phi Phi was Ao nang, Krabi. We arrived here after a boat trip back to the port in Krabi.
Ao Nang was a nice quiet place with an alright beach and good restaurants to feed ourselves. Krabi was the first place in which we really tried street food. It was brilliant! Dave was very happy that he could pick up a chicken breast kebab the size of his head for no more than a pound! As you can imagine Dave ate his weight in chicken throughout out stay in Ao Nang.
One day when we went to the beach we had entertainment in the form of two Thai massage women having a brawl and hitting each other over the head with umbrellas! Although entertaining, I don't think they would have stopped until one of them killed the other! Haha. Luckily a passer-by on the beach separated the women and they went their separate ways.
The next day in Ao Nang we took a taxi boat to Railay. Railay was stunning! We both decided it was a miniature version of Phi Phi and also probably better due to it being a lot less quiet. While on Railay we explored all the walks that there was and also went to the fertility shrine which is basically loads of private parts in a cave!
After a few days in Ao Nang we moved up to Krabi Town for the rest of our trip in Thailand. Vicky was really not impressed with this place as it had no beach! Also it was abit authentic for the both of us. Not really a tourist location. So we spent a day in Krabi and then ended up getting a tuk tuk back to Ao Nang to go the beach. Good job its cheap. While in Krabi town we visited the night markets were we tried some street food but no way near as good as the Ao Nang street food stalls.
After a few days here we were picked up early in the morning for our flight to Kuala Lumpar and for the next part of our adventure.
