I know it's been a while since the last time I wrote, I'm just not doing that much besides school so I don't have that much to write about. I decided to continue writing this blog in English as I need the practice. And don't worry, waay to many Norwegians here to even start forgetting Norwegian. Did you all see that article in VG? http://www.vg.no/reise/artikkel.php?artid=10019095 This is one of the worst things about being here, and no I'm not in the picture because I stayed away from all the big norwegian get-togethers that ANSA Hawaii and Borealis (the Norwegian student organization at my school) initiated. It's not that I have anything against Norwegians (I know it might sound like I do a lot of times), but I didn't travel halfway around the world to hang out with a bunch of Norwegians. What I love about this place is the international atmosphere, you meet people from all over the world here.
So what have I been up to lately? Mostly I have been studying, but I have some great friends here who are great at arranging trips and inviting me to come. If it weren't for them I wouldn't have seen half of what I have seen. Last weekend the school arranged transportation to the USS Memorial in Pearl Harbourt, which was interesting. They showed a movie about the attack on Pearl Harbour, and then took us on a boat over to the USS Memorial Arizona where they had built a Memorial ontop of the sunken ship. It was really touching to see how the Memorial moved some of the people there who probably lost someone or was affected by this attack in some way.
What else to say? Temperatures is around 28ºC, but it has been raining more lately. We even had a thunderstorm here the other day. So exciting :-) Been going to the gym to some yoga and zumba classes. And tomorrow I'm finally going up to the north shore! Can't wait. The big wave surf contests started there a week ago so hopefully we'll be able to see some real surf pros! If I remember my camera I'll post some pictures from that when I come back.
One month left before the winter break and Nicaragua :D As they say here: Have a good one!
