Fullmoon in Many Ways!
Semana santa, finally! First I went to the market i Leon and bought a new backpack. The boy who sold it to me was stuning!!! He looked like he had traits of indigenous blood in him...hmm..good start! All 6 of us, dressed like clowns, models and backpackers made it to the pan-american highway and boarded to Nica Expressbus towards our Tica adventure...We spent hours on the nica/tica border with passports, toilets, luggage, quesedillas, frescos and an immence heat! We made it to Liberia and found our drive-in-like hotel with our precious swimmingpool...After indulging in nicely prepared ticafood we went to book a tour in one of the many nationalparks in Costa Rica. We met Beto...Beto said "...knowing this..." 500 times and was really annoying. Fortunately he wasn't going to join as a guide the day after...
We did a 2 hours hike to a waterfall, where we slept stones! I loved my traveling company... Going back to Liberia Rainer, a german bloke who was biking from Seattle to Argentina, became a friend of mine.
He left the day after and we went to Playa del Coco; another black sanded beach on this continent... The taxicar diaries-adventure started. Two cars from Liberia to La Fortuna. La Fortuna was built around the volcano Arenal which is still active. We checked in at our secound hostel with a pool. Met Rainer again and he experienced how it is to travel 6 girls together where everything had to be discussed...
We also met a lady from Singapore; Joy. We had two crazy days in La Fortuna and concluded that we hadn't made the most of our lives in Leon! We all learnt a lesson form Joy! She left with her jeep-boat-jeep, Rainer left with his bike, we left in a new taxi. S?ra and beachin' next! White and sandy beach with 17 years old tanned ticos...We even went to the local disco...I felt old! Taxi again and bus back home to Leon...
That was my Semana Santa 2006
