Whats up peeps!! I've just had the most awesome 10 days EVER!!! Been out i9n the Yasawa and the Mamanuca islands in Fiji - AMAZING!! Got a great big yellow catamaran right up to one of the northern islands and worked my way down - been to five islands altogether - Coral View, Manta Ray, Kuata, South Sea and Bounty (Celeb Love Island!!)!! Its been wocked, proper desert islands, only about 30-50 people on each island, been peoper roughing it though! No hot showers for two weeks, sharing a dorm with 40 people, haven't worn any shoes or brushed my hair because permantely on the beach, no phone or internet, food rations, no electricity!! Who'd have thought I would have coped! Anyway its been so good I've changed my flights and Im staying another week in Fiji then just 4 days in Sydney. Doing the Feejee Experience for 4 days then probably go to Beachcomber island for 2 nights. Some of the stuff I've done you would not believe so here's my Fiji highlights so far (in no particular order by the way): 1) Swimming in THE Blue Lagoon (from the movies apparntely) in the pouring rain - first ever snorkelling, saw amazing coloured fish! 2) Midnight bonfire at MantaRay - just sat on the beach all night round the fire with everyone, drank way too much vodka and was sick 3) We went on an underwater cave trip - I had to swim under water under these rocks into these pitch dark caves - the most frightening experience of my life - thought I was going to drown! But was awesome! 4) Kava ceromony - its like muddy water and makes you feel stoned 5) Trip to a local village where we met all the schoolchildren and sat in their lessons and played netball with them - they were all adorable and I'm going to send them some books and pens and that when I get home. Then we met the villagers and I weaved my own bracelet from bamboo with one of the ladies and had a ring carved from a shell. 6) Picked a fallen coconut form the ground and split it open myself, carved the coconut out and ate it on the beach looking over the bay at Mantaray with the guys I met there! Tropical paradise!! Also made a bangle from scratch using a coconut and sanding it down using a rock, water and sand, then polished it using the coconut! 7) Having our dinner cooked in a "HANGI" which is like an underground barbeque. Also going out fishing for our dinner! 8) Hammocks - quality!! 9) Me & this girl sophie i met took a kayak and paddled over to a completely desserted island and just lay on the beach and in the sea all afternoon and were the only ones on the whole island - paradise city! 10) I thought I'd overcome my fear of water so went on the shark swimming trip. However, as soon as I jumped in the water I panicked and wouldnt let go of the boat - the guys had to pull me back on and calm me down. I didnt want to jump back in - we were right in the middle of the ocean in this tiny tin boat but I went for it and was still s***ting myself about drowning but it was amazing - saw about 4 or 5 reef sharks swimming around us and the most amazing coral reef and fishes - out of this world!!! 11) Cold showers - EVERY SINGLE BLOODY DAY!!! 12) Visiting last years celbrity love island resort - the pools been moved to the proper resort and I swam in it! Whoo! Also went in the love shack and you can walk around the camera runs behing the 2 way mirrors! 13) Waking up to the sunrise everday and being able to watch it from my bed across the beach and the sea and hearing the waves every morning! 14) Wearing a flower behing my ear for dinner everynight! The Fiji people are all so nice!! I love it!! I've got about a thousand photos but it taked ages and too expensive to put them on now but will do soon as prmoise!! Got some wicked ones! Everyone let me know what You're up to! Mum, have you got my exam results?! If you have then email me them, Im dying to know if Ive beaten everyone else (which Im sure I have!) PS - My teddy has been found whoo whoo!! He's safe in LA - he got lost in the bedding and went in the washing machine - nice little adventure for him! x x x x
