Well, Kevin and I are here in South Korea. After a REALLY long day (3 flights totaling 18 hours in the air) we arrived in Busan, though we actually live in Changwon which is about a 40 min drive from busan. Thankfully, someone from the recruitment agency was there to pick us up. We went to our apartment, which is really nice. It has two bedrooms and a small kitchen. The only problem is that for some reason the hot water doesn't work. The shower is are like being back at camp hope. we hope we can get this fixed, or else im just going to smell bad all year. I met my co-teacher the next day. she is super nice and i think we will get along well. she told me that i have a big forehead so that is lucky. I said "you really think my forehead is that big?"
kevin doesnt have to work this week, so he has been in charge of unpacking, shopping ect. basically he is the housewifey this week. he made friends with 2 guys who work in a pizza carry out because they were the only ones who spoke english well enough to tell him where the grocery store and gym were. so we have eaten pizza alot already. i think it is cheaper here to buy take out than cook food yourself. it seems like everyone does it at least 1 meal a day.
i had my check up appointment where they take your vision hearing height blood sample chest exray ect. this was VERY akward because the hospital is so open. you do everything in front of every one else in the hospital. also, for the pee test i had to walk down a long corridor carrying my pee in a cup and a beaker past maybe 20 people who were all staring at me. oh yea and everyone stares at you anyway if you look anything like kevin and i.
well i meet the kids next monday and i think it will go well. also kevin starts work at the middle school today. so ill be sure to update soon.
