Yasou! We made it to Athens ok after a few cups of coffee and red bulls later.... I had the drive from Igoumenitsa which was around 6 hours.... I was pleasantly surprised though with the roads as i had visioned a lot worse. Well we made it to Roma.... We set off exploring early in the morning after a rather large breakfast that had prepared by our host Angela. First stop was the Vaticano - boys were not happy with the fact they had to wear long trousers & closed in shoes, no singlets or trousers above the knees (apparently it is very sinful to show flesh!). After having another lovely breakfast (prepared by Mama!) when set off for Firenze! Our first stop was the Ufizzi Museum, it was stunning. The fresco's on the ceiling's had me transixed - this wasn't even in the main galleries. We saw Boticelli's "Venus de Milo" so much more impresive than the Mona Lisa i must say!
