We headed off to Santorini from Athens rather early - we left the hotel at 4.45am to catch the first train to Piraeus Port. We were searching for the ticket office (to collect our tickets), poor Chris, every time he walked in to an office they directed him somewhere entirely different! We were eventually directed to the correct location, only to wait an hour till they opened up!

We got to Santorini 2 hours late due to rough waters! When we arrived at the port my stomach was down to my ankles - the hill we had to go up was a sight! I would have been hyperventilating if i didn't have some stranger sitting next to me on the bus.

All this aside we arrived into the city centre - got to our hotel, unpacked and made started exploring.

There were cute alleys, shops galore - all aimed at tourists obviously. Chris was a bit disappointed with the "regulars" on Santorini - they appeared to be rather rude and just didn't care....

We then decided to stop and have a few drinks - we settled on a bar overlooking postcard views and had some cocktails, followed by Mezedes and Ouzo! Of course we watched the sunset from this location too....

The following day we spent by the pool - managed to drink a fair bit of gin - 1.5 bottles apparently. Have a little bit of evidence in photos...

We then headed off for a nice dinner followed by a frappe! Then off home to bed as we had a big day ahead.... Off to Lemnos!
