Saturday 26th January
We have had a fantastic day here in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. It is on the tip of the Baja Peninsular. At this time of year thousands of whales migrate here from Alaska so we took a small boat out to the Sea of Cortez and saw lots of whales. It was wonderful as we got close up. We even saw some of the whales jumping out of the water! They put on a very good display. I particularly liked seeing the huge tail splash down into the water. We also saw some seal ions. There is a colony that likes to sun bathe on the rocks. We saw a very large sealion as we came back to the harbour swimming around the boats. There are pelicans everywhere, all very big. I never tire of seeing them. There are some lovely rock formations called Lands End with lots of sandy beaches.
Our ship is anchored today and you can see these rocks from the ship. We had lunch ashore by the marina, we both had enchiladas stuffed with chicken. They were very tasty and the cold beer went down well!
