Did you know... that the Gum Nut Tea Gardens in The Rocks is no longer open?! Disappointing - that is where we were headed to find some breakfast this morning. The Rocks by the way is quite an interesting and picturesque part of Sydney to the East of Circular Quay (which if I may point out is where the Opera House and Bridge are located).
Anyways we made it back to Sydney ahead of schedule, yesterday (5th) escaping the continued flash flooding in Cairns and Queensland in the aftermath of cyclone Yasi (see previous blog entry).
Still of the opinion that Sydney is a pretty cool city (in the sense of good and worth visiting, not in the sense of temperature fresh - in the heatwave it went over 40, and it has just come back down a little with clouds and a wind coming up from Antarctica.
Also today - we had our last Ozzy dinner (kangaroo steaks) at Darling Harbor and were bang on time to watch a big firework display put on for chinese new year celebrations. For once - it was actually getting a bit fresh out there and needed a light jumper!!!
