Today we were up at 6:30. Ate a breakfast of pastries at 7. Packed and loaded on the bus to Guédelon, a medieval castle being built using medieval tools and techniques. I walked over 13,000 steps today, including climbing 284 steps to the top of the Arc de Triomphe. The view at the top was amazing even though it was cloudy and windy as you will see from my wind blown hair. After coming down the Arc it began to sprinkle, but we still walked the Champs-Elysées and ate pastries in Brioche Dorée. After a five hour layover, we are now in the air over the Great Lakes. Silvana has laughed almost to the point of tears over how to operate the TV. We are now being served a meal at 10:30 in the evening! Glad I ate a salad at 5. I skipped the meal. Sleeping was difficult, but I managed to get a few hours.
