Hi everyone!! I can keep you all updated on here with where I am and what I'm up to (thought it may be preferable to bombarding your email inboxes with badly misspelt emails). Love Dexie xxx

In answer to your question JRT, I'm guessing the Brothers Grimm are the Abthorpe twins. Am I right M & P ?
And no, you won't be the last one to write on here cos being the Mummy of this particular traveller, I get that privelege!
So there Billy-no-pots!!
Welcome home ickl lamb, see you tomorrow! YAY!!!!

The Brothers Grimm
Hans who? Huh, shows what sort of stories he writes. Everybody knows a proper story has to have a beginning, a middle and an end. Like this:-
And dearest Dexie came safely home and everybody cheered and rejoiced because they were so pleased to see her.
And THEN they all lived happily ever after...........

Hello Little Doozer. By hook or by crook I'll be last in this book!!
Brisbane sounds marvellous, we'll include it out then. Sure you've enjoyed it and made the most of it though, as you do. Have a good journey home and a safe one. Looking forward to seeing you soon. Lots of love UJ xxx

Hello LD - Hope your last day in action-packed Brisbane was good and you did lots more exciting things? Or did the same few all over again?? Also hope you wore khaki! Said on this morning's news that all Australians had been requested to wear khaki today in tribute to SI. And you are an honorary Australian at the mo.
That's it then, this is AS signing out. Safe journey home lamb, see you very soon, lots and lots of love and tuggles me xxx

Hello LD - Yay! Messages at last!! Brisbane sounds a very exciting place to be then, hee hee. Thought that's how you'd feel about the Great Barrier Reef - good job you'd been there, done that etc etc. Very sad though, only watched him on television the day before. Do you mean to say that we don't have to do this message board lark forever then? Can't believe it isn't going to continue with your life in Cambridge!! Expect you'll be in bed by now (unless you couldn't drag yourself away from the bar that is) so only one more big sleep. Enjoy your last day seeing all the sights of Brisbane another half a dozen times!! Talk to you soon, lots of love and tuggles, me xxx
Dexie
Brisbane is dull - don't bother. I covered all the essential sites in approximately 2 hrs. So tomorrow I have decided to take a day trip to Steve Irwin's zoo tomorrow to pay my respects before I fly home. Poor Steve. (On the plus side Im glad I went to the Great Barrier Reef before that happened or would have been much more wary of getting in the water!).
This may well be my last message as I fly home in 2 days (unless I decide to keep everyone updated throughout my time in Barnsley and Cambridge.....).
Thanks for everyone's messages - its great fun logging on and seeing I have a new one. Makes me feel loved....awwww.
Lots of Love from a Dexie-with burnt cheeks and nose yet has managed to remain white all over the rest of her body xxxx
And again ......
Hello LD - Where is everybody, I'm beginning to feel very isolated on this message board!! Hope you have now recovered from bus-lag and had a lovely, relaxing day at the beach? We've had a look at Belongil Beach House's website and you can book us in for a fortnight! Send you an email later on, lots of love and tuggles me xxx
Ditto again .......
Hello LD - Well you should be somewhere between Sydney and Byron Bay on the never-ending coach journey then? Hope it's not too boring, in fact at this very moment you are probably fast asleep anyway. We had a lovely meal at Romano's for Richard's birthday, never been there before (how amazing is that??). We can all go again when you get home, that will be even better eh? What's happened to your message senders, are they all on strike? This is a hint for when BC reads it. Talk to you soon, lots of love and tuggles, me xxx

Hello LD me again. Well that's better news! Glad you've got some company again - and some room-mates. Should be one wearing clogs with a tulip in his buttonhole and three in lederhosen (does that look right?) then, hee hee. Will make a lovely group photo along with you in your kimono and hat with corks dangling from it!! Didn't realise the bus journey to Byron Bay took 13 hours, hope you've got a good book to pass the time or somebody interesting sitting in the next seat. Mummy Barr forwarded your email to me so I'm all up-to-date. UJ has just been for a walk around the golf course with his Monday lot. He is impatient to play again now the pots are gone but methinks that will take a while yet. Enjoy your last day in Sydney, talk to you soon, lots of love and tuggles me xxx

Hello LD - Well I hope you've got over the shock of having a message from your BC at long last? We thought he'd disappeared forever beneath a very large pile of text books, hee hee!! He thought Sydney was awesome too - you have yet to see the photograph of the Opera House that he took whilst lying on the ground (to get the best shot you understand, he didn't have one too many!). Tis now framed in all its splendour in his flat. Didn't realise you were going to be in Sydney for so long. Hope the trip today was good and you met lots of lovely people? Ooh, it will be lovely to see you, can't wait. Shall send a message every day this week for the big countdown!! Talk to you soon, lots of love and tuggles me xxx
Ey up dwerf. If you haven;t left Sydney yet then go to the bridge bar - it's above the cinema in the harbour - about ten floors up on a bridge. Amazing cocktails and view. Bills is good too for some brekkie - think it's somewhere around darlinghurst - can't remember the address though.
Right back to the books.

Woweeee! We're in Sydney at the moment and it's just AWESOME!!!! There's so much to do here and it's so beautiful! Weve only been here 2 days and so far weve been to the Opera House to see Dianne Reeve in concert, walked across the Harbour Bridge, walked round Darling Harbour, been to the aquarium (the platypus was my favourite!), been to The Rocks, the botanical gardens and Manly Beach. We even went to the Observatory and saw the moon, jupiter and the sun through a magnificent telescope. Since that experience was so good were going again tomorrow at nighttime to see the stars! Only one week left now :o( but am very much looking forward to seeing everyone when I get back - it feels like ages!
Hope everyone is happy and well - ooh and if anyone has advice on what to do in Byron Bay and Brisbane please let me know (the Rough Guide is a little lacking - hope its not a sign....!).
Lots of love and hugs to everyone,
Alexis xxxx
