Lani took us to the Sky Tower for dinner at their Buffet. Really we weren't really that hungry from lunch but we were excited to go up to the tallest tower in the southern hemisphere. The tower is pretty tall with really great views. The elevators have glass doors so you can watch as you climb. It was raining and it was really cool to see the water pooring off the ledges and windows and streaking the windows of the elevator. Luckily the clouds cleared out and we were able to see the spectacular view from the top of the tower because it was just amazing.
If we thought the view was amazing it was only surpassed by turning around and seeing the food. The food up there was amazing. So many varieties of salads, sea foods, desserts, etc... I can't even really begin to describe how great the food was. Needless to say we had to try EVERYTHING, and I don't know how I wasn't popping buttons off when we were leaving because I was in pain my stomach was so full! lol. I'll post a picture of one of my plates that I made from the food there, it was gorgeous! Connie and I ordered a Kiwi fruit juice that was spectacular! I definately recommend it!
After dinner we walked around the observation deck and looked at the view and tried to get our digestive system working! I was so full that I didn't dare lay go to sleep without exercising so I went and swam laps at the pool for a good 15 min before relaxing in the hot tub. Carter felt so full he actually went walking around the city for a couple hours!
funnies:
- Lani kept calling us "family". So when we were ready to go "ok family, lets go" or "ok family, anyone want a juice?" So after dinner I couldn't resist saying "thanks mum!"
