I was suppose to have a conference call with some people back in the states and so we all showed up early and it was canceled at the last minute so we all got up early for nothing, will have to address that with the project manager...
The AU office was about 30 minutes from our hotel so we all squished in a cab. (That was probaly the worst thing about this trip - there are four of us and so it made cab rides and rides with co-workers a little squishy.) We met all the staff and got set up in the conference room for the week. This office is a lot bigger compared to NZ but it still is only like 20 people max. The have a walk in center with rooms distributors can reserve and use and a product store. It was good to finally meet all the people we've been conversing with for years via email.
After work we caught a cab to "Manly Harbour". We were having a very fun time thinking of all the marketing opportunities that were being missed. Manly Bait Shop, Wo-Manly dress shop, Manly BBQ, Manly Liquor, etc... It was funny when we even saw a few of those stores. There are two parts to the penninsula, a cove side and a surf side with a ton of shopping in between. It was beautful and Kia called the waves very friendly (nice and rolling, not crashing) and we saw a bunch of surfers out there. We hung out and watched the sunset and then walked back to the ferry and caught it back to Circular Quay.
