Went to a soccer match in Valencia. Valencia vs Madrid. It was NUTS! But super fun. Madrid won and Valencia still sang their song. Hah. Anyway Granada is the COOLEST place ever! It has a 53% unemployment rate. That is RIDICULOUS! Alot of people squat in these Caves that are built everywhere. We met a guy who lived in a cave and the guy who we were with it used to be his cave so went inside it. It had electricity and wifi and a little stove. It would be our version of a little cabin. So those are the rent caves. Then there are the hippie caves where they squat and accept a bottle of wine a day for payment. And then the gypsy caves are like these 60 meter caves dug into the mountain side with three families in them. Granada is also really beautiful. And cheap. When you buy a drink, ANY liquid you get free tapas. And not just a small snack. But at one place we got a burger and chips, another place we got sushi, a whole plate of prawns, a bowl of noodles, a cheese and ham sandwich. It was awesome. We would buy like a 1€70 beer and get that. It was awesome.
On another note, I hurt, maybe broke, my toe in Nice and it was in a weird position for a while until Sebastian fixed it, but it's still strange but the POINT to this, is I have the WEIRDEST blister ever on
it. It's like on the tip and side. I have no idea what it's from and I can't wear any shoes. It's insanity.
And on a final note, one more week. So weird. So very weird. Since I actually have a plan for this week, I just booked everything last night and this morning got all my train tickets. So so so weird. I'm heading to Madrid tonight, then San Sebatian for two nights, back to Barcelona for two nights to meet up with some friends then fly to London, then London for two nights and then home!
I am excited to be home because I really miss it, but I won't have any idea what to do with myself.
Also, I can't tell the difference between spider bites and bed bug bites. Sorry mom. A few of us were getting bitten in Granada, BUT we weren't all in the same room (it would be weird for it to be select beds in a dorm), but we all did go on an adventure walk in caves and forests... Hmm. Its also weird because right when it looks like they are almost gone, and you scratch it on your jacket or something they swell up like mad. Needless to say, we will freeze and boil my stuff when I get home! WOOO!
