All sounds very familiar at the moment have great memories of all these places what about the bridge the thames bridge only one lane to the corimandle how long did that take think they need another nippon clipon (ask Ian about that one) Did you manage to go fishing at the bay of islands great King fish up to 80 lbs or snappers are good fun but Kings are the real deal.
Hope you treated the maori kids diving of the bridge at Rotorua for your dollars how cool are they!! The ski resort looked very barren without snow did you have a beer in the Chateau (its an old tin hut in reality but hugely popular with the tourists when the snow comes, did you notice the drop in temperature up there made you wish you had packed your woolies we still have snow 11 days now it was -4 last night so Derek dont moan that you had bit of rain or has it washed the tan off!!! chill out have a glass of red ,best wine in the world in NZ so make the best of it (they only send us the rubbish stuff) bit like their lamb really ,spect i may get some stick on that comment from little brother.
Anyhow keep enjoying they tell me South Island is better didnt get there so will lookforward to your SI blogs later, dont think bungy jumping is good idea unless it comes under plan B (regular bloggers will know what that is) Take care Lindsx

Hi you two...at last I am in contact with the far reaches of the planet. Heaven knows I didn't know it was this simple!! I was waiting for my technical IT expert to set it all up for me but due to blackouts, power cuts, frantic searching of candles and a sudden interest in WW2 from my grandchildren(as we are playing games on the dining table around the candlelight) he failed to complete the task! I am so proud of you Norma for doing the Sydney Harbour Bridge but disappointed you left the pics behind but its all there in your memories of this fantastic adventure you are both enjoying. I have seen Nicola twice and she has filled me in with your journey so far and I am so sorry I have been unable to do this before now. I really thought you had to be REALLY skilful at this blog business. So here I am finally in touch with you (I hope) and letting you know that we are all thinking of you both and have taken 3 months of work in advance for when you return to keep up with the goss and pics you must have taken. Derek will be like J Arthur Rank with his camera (for younger bloggers that is a film producer of olden days!!) but Derek will know him...ha ha....As I have read all your other blogs you will know that our beloved motherland has practically ground to a halt. No education, no banks, no salt for the roads and how we have survived it all heaven knows. Good old M&S kept open, of course, although I was listening out for a phone call from Mr Rose telling all his lovely staff to stay home (as we were advised by our Government) but hey ho none came so it was on with the boots and thick coats and hats only to walk through the door and find NONE!!!!!! Every night it has been announced that we must all take care and not make any unnecessary journeys....is going to work necessary? My sister-in-law in Adelaide said the heat was tremendous and she couldn't get out because it was far too hot so I hope you have been slapping on factor 59 at least, especially Derek! You must both be having the time of your lives and now you are with your family in New Zealand even more so. All of us send our love and hugs to you both, including friends as well as family. Nicola was on my bus this morning and she is fine and missing you very much....ah! but when she knows you are on the way back she might feel differently!! ha ha.....lots of love xxxx Sandra

Glad you are having such a fantastic time. The photo of the pool and sea looked fabulous. It was snowing here before. The heating bills are going to be enormous this winter - it's been so cold. Looking forward to reading your adventures in N.Z. Take Care.

Hello everyone,
Glad to hear you have got to NZ safely and all dtill sounds like you having a good time. Hello to Ian & Kathy hope they are both well - no doubt Ian happy with the way NZ are beating Aus in the cricket.
Snowing again in Denshaw. Still have about 6 inches from earlier in the week. Supposed to stay same for the rest of the week. You have certainly picked a good time not to be here. Spoke to Nicola in week and she is coming for Sunday lunch on 1 March with Martin. Just spoken to Linds and sorted my digs out for Cheltenham - if it has stopped snowing by then.
Hannah - enjoy the skiing - although you could have saved mum and dads money and come to stay in the Denshaw slopes and skied here instead.
Anyway mum, Derek, Ian & Kathy enjoy the rest of your time together.
