Adventures of a Global Wanderer
For our evening on Seonyudo Island we had planned to have a BBQ. I'm still figuring out my new camera and night shots are usually difficult on most cameras. However I ended up getting some great shots with the multiple frame burst feature this camera comes with. It was quite windy so we were not able to huddle around the fire for heat. The wind kept blowing the streaks on all four sides. The pension restaurant also provided some seafood side dishes as I dont eat the meat. There was seafood pancakes. octopus rice, and spicy chopped squid. Then we started playing with sparklers and decided to light some fireworks I was using the multiple frame burst to catch the fireworks as they first light up You only get good sky shots in fireworks shows. Ours were too small and quick in the dark to get any good sky shots. There were two fireworks, the green ones have 10 bursts, the red ones 30 bursts. We decided to take turns holding one as the shots streak out from our hand. Using the more professional camera these looked like bolts of lightening, something from a Harry Potter movie or magicians sorcery. There were also some boys lighting a bonfire with a blowtorch, which we found a bit disturbing. We stayed out quite late talking and sharing stories but it was very chilly with the wind
