Adventures of a Global Wanderer
For my summer trip back home to Toronto I had to get to Incheon Airport in Seoul for my flight. Last summer I was able to fly from nearby Busan but this year there was a big price difference so I chose a Seoul flight. The three ways to Incheon Airport are bus, train, and plane. I figured bus would be the easiest as no carrying lots of suitcases all over the place. I was able to buy my tickets online and best to book ahead as even when I checked on Monday most of the buses for Saturday were already sold out but fortunately the bus I wanted still had seats. I had chose the back corner seat on the website but when I got on the bus the seats were numbered wrong and I had an aisle seat. I sat on my corner seat and luckily nobody else came claiming it to be their seat. The bus was an exact four hours even with a 20 minute highway truck stop. As we approached Seoul we went around by using the Incheon Harbour bridge. This is an ocean roadway spanning about 20kms. I've seen it before from air but this was the first time driving on it. Its quite stunning to drive thru, there are two twin masts with cable supports for the curved road spanning the ocean. We had a clear blue sky and I was able to again get a clear view of the bridge from the plane during takeoff.
