I had now arrived into the coastal port city of Fukuoka. I knew very little about this city and only ever heard to it referred to as "where to do a visa run" to extend your korea work visa. Saturday morning I had to be at the ferry terminal at 7am for my 8am ferry. I'm surprised I've never done this before as its so close and easy to goto Japan and one of the reasons I came to Korea. At the ferry terminal you have to exchange your booking confirmation for your actual tickets. My ferry to Japan was 8am Saturday morning which needed me to be at the ferry terminal 7am one hour earlier. I was figuring out somewhere close and cheap to stay on my arrival. I asked around and people didnt really have any clear suggestions other than going further from Busan Station which is a bit of a 'red light district' after hours.
