So we arrived at Gilligans in Cairns and felt like we had just checked into a 5 star hotel in comparison to where we had stayed previously! Was very nice! So we I left Airlee beach in the car along with Jonna, Benny, Soph and Rach and headed up to Townsville, where we were going to get the ferry straight across to Magnetic Island. Made it up to Airlee Beach with boys on the overnight bus. Kate went up on a different one and Soph, Rach and Jonnas drove up in the car. All met up in Magnums, which was the delightful snake infested hostel that we were all staying in!! Went over to the Lagoon and chilled there. It was overcast and we were all so tired from the bus that we fell asleep and woke up a little pink!! ok burnt!! Not good before heading out on a boat for 3 days! Anyway had a few drinks...

So, arrived in Hervey bay and had to have our briefing for the self drive tour of Fraser Island. We were in bright pink 4x4's and first of all headed to Woolworths first and foremost to stock up on food!! Essential!!! Then got the boat over to the island and after digging the vans out of the sand we all headed over to Lake Wabby.
