Well, I'm here and I can't quite believe it!
The jet lag hit home straight away! I was awake at 4am on Monday in Malaysia which was pretty lucky as my 6am wake-up call in the hotel didn't materialise! I asked them about it at reception and he said "oh, you meant in the morning" - really!!!!!
The flight from KL was amazing. Flying over the Bali Sea got a bit hairy with the turbulance but the views were stunning. Little islands popped up everywhere and the sea around them was so clear and such a beautiful colour.
I couldn't believe it when we reached the coast of Oz tho! We flew in just under Darwin and for the next 3 1/2 hours, I didn't see a town, city, house - nothing! It was just a vast area of nothingness! Unbelievable!
Meeting up with Tanya and Sasha again has been incredible - as you can imagine, after not seeing each other for ten years, we haven't stopped talking!
They live 20 minutes outside of Noosa and have just built a beautiful one-storey house, surrounded by woodlands and lakes so I'm being very spoilt!
Noosa is stunning! Is has a wonderful, fine-sand beach on the pacific and a promenade with shops, restaurants and bars. It's not really touristy which is good but you see people out for their 7.30 run or walk before work - why wouldn't you when you live somewhere like this?
