Hello all! - Sorry delayed blog! we have had some problems with our pictures because our memory card got fried by an internet cafe so we lost 900 pictures- anyway good job we backed most of them up onto this site (thank god for this site!) Anyway one of the many highlights of our trip so far has been the tiger temple. So the day before we managed to get in we hired a motorbike (instead of booking a tour) and figured out the direction which we need to drive and drove for an hour and a half to the temple and arrived at 3.30pm only to find that the tiger temple closed at 4.00pm and the tigers were back in their cages! (also it was 33 degrees dire heat!)The next day we hopped back onto the motorbike and made sure we arrived at the temple for midday. At 12.30 all the tigers and cubs were brought out of their cages and fed, we were allowed to get close to them after this and take pics with them (bearing in mind this day it was at least 36 degrees). We took many pictures again. We were then allowed to walk with the tigers to the tiger cave (that's where you see me & Colin holding the rope walking with the tigers). The tigers once they arrived at the cave fell asleep. We sneaked off to explore! and discovered the lions and bears in the cages (these had not been advertised). The lions were so surreal as were the tigers because as you know we were allowed to get so close to them without them eating us! - we made the most of the day because we knew this was a once in a lifetime opportunity (although we are sure the bears & lions were staring at us as if we were food!).The day was amazing - highly recommended. We decided to do it off our own back instead of a tour because the tours arrived at 3.00pm only experiencing a fraction of what we did.
