Jaipur, India
I've been here two days now, but to be honest I still can't get my head around staying here for 10 weeks, its a bit ridiculous. I've met loads of new people, and most seem really cool, though obviously you always get the same people when you've got a group of 44. There's the loud mouthy one, whinging one, excitable one, inane one etc. I'm not a big fan of those type of people, but luckily their the exception. Transport is predictably mental, horns are used non stop, which is quite funny to start with but then it just gets annoying, especially when your trying to sleep. The guys over here, instead of doing up there cars with rims and speakers, just put a big f***-off horn on their trucks. It seems like the main ambition of a young chap in India is to buy a nice pair of flares, and find one of these trucks to ride around in all day, for no apparent reason.
We went to the market in jaipur today to buy some traditional clothes that we have to wear when we are working. We got fleeced so badly, they just love taking white people's money. They sell you all types of rubbish for far too much money, but to be fair, its still only about a fiver for a shirt, but when you're here that price is outrageous to you.
We're going to ride elephants tomorrow, which accounts for the picture, which isn't mine, cus i couldnt find the cable to connect my camera, i've got it somewhere. pictures are imminent.
alright then,
goodbye to anyone who might be reading, u must be bored or suicidal, i hope this pushed you over the edge, then you won't have to read the next post.
