It's only when you are feeling challenged that you wish you were home. It sounds like you felt better when you were hanging out with Mahouts and the elephants. Remember what's important - the elephants and the good work you're doing. These elephants need you!! You seem to have made some good friends and are having some wonderful experiences never to be forgotten. You will be home and feeling miserable like the rest of us with the usual weather and humdrum of life all too soon.

Hi again! After I phoned you this evening, I checked your website again and it was back up. Sorry to hear that you're still homesick. You'll just have to concentrate on shovelling all that elephant s*** and put Edinburgh out of your mind till the end of the month. Once you're back here, you'll wish you were still in Sri Lanka! Promise!

It's been very wet and cool here, so you're definitely getting the better deal weather-wise.
