Had a great day today!! Took the water bus to S. Marco Square and wandered around the area during the morning. Had a great day today. Bought a 2 day water bus pass so went to the islands, as we planned. We first went to The Lido, the ritzy beach area. Caught a bus and then went for a walk to the beach. Arrived in Venice. 28 July Here we are in Venice!! We had a great drive here- totally uneventful and easy. We arrived on time and managed to find where we needed to go without too much fuss. After dropping off the little Peugeot, which served us well, we had a walk and 2 bridges (all steps) to deal with and utilized the services of some eager and unscrupulous porters to assist with our luggage.
