Hello from a hot Amsterdam!! Apparently we timed it perfectly to be here for the hottest 2 days of the year (but it hasn't been too uncomfortable compared to the temperatures in Italy!). Today we went on a half day bus tour around the city taking in the important sites including a diamond factory, but we resisted temptation there!!! Call us skeptical about their 'special prices'!!!!! After that we did a canal tour, seeing Amsterdam from a different perspective....

Well ... Here we are in Amsterdam - crazy busy place!!! Took this photo this morning before the locals were out and about!!! We arrived yesterday and found our apartment, then went off for an explore! Lots of interesting??? characters around the place!!! After our local expedition we went on a walk through the shopping district and then through to the red light district. Had a beer there and watched the world go by - that was quite fascinating!!!! Well ... All packed up and awaiting our taxi to take us to our apartment!! We've had a wonderful time and really loved all aspects of river cruising on this lovely ship!!! 4 weeks to go!! Xxx
