Guess where!!!! Yep, the land of cheese, dikes and windmills, apparently, none of which originated in The Netherlands!!!! Went for a walk from the ship, which is docked right here in Kinderdijk, a small village and heritage area maintained to showcase the historical culture of the windmills. It was fascinating having a look through a windmill and seeing how people would live inside, not just in the old days, but now too. Of the 1000 odd remaining windmills, people live in them rent free in return for maintaining them and keeping them running!!! Very cosy and lots of steep, skinny stairs, as you would expect!! Tonight is our last night on the ship, so hopefully it will be special. The whole river cruise has been a spectacular experience!!! We arrive in Amsterdam in the morning and move in to our apartment for 3 days and are on the road on our own again for another couple of weeks!! All good!!! Vaarwel. Xxx

A Sounds like Bwian would luv living in a windmill, plenty of stairs and he could also use his handyman skill to maintain them!
