Deborahs journey
This morning i was back ok on my bus tour to Adelaide. We left Melbourne at 7am and drove to Torquay where we had breakfast. THis is a popular surf town and hsa the famous Bells Beach. THis is now a surf resreve and holds surf competitions annually, although there wasnt much surf today. WE then carried onto the beginning of the Great Ocean road. Stopped to take photos of the arch over the road to say we were at the beginning of the road. The road winds along the cliffs parellel to the ocean. Along the way we stopped at a caravan park where wild koalas live. i wsa able to see quite a few koalas here including a baby one. it was nice to see Koalas in the wild. We then drove inland a bit to Otway national park to go to the Otway treetop walkway. Here there is a walkway over the canapies of the trees and a lookout so u are able to see roght down in to the rainforest just to see how tall the trees grow. After spending time walking around here we headed back onto the great ocean road. We stopped at Gibsons steps which are steps cut into the cliff to get down to the beach. After walking along the beach for a short while, we drove to Port Campbell NP which was a few minutes down the road to walk down to see the 12 Apostles at sunset. It wasnt a very good day to watch the sunset and definatly didnt look like the photo, but it was still impressive. From here i was only able to view 7 of the apostles. In the evening we stayed in a hostel in Princetown (which is a very small village!)
