Well the European Adventure could've been a total disaster as LAST NIGHT I FORGOT TO SET THE ALARM FOR SATURDAY. I woke up at 6 am holy s***! was meant to be up at 5 & thankfully being prepared, it was a matter of shower & go. Luckily made it to the airport in record time - 45 mins. Managed to enjoy a pre-flight brunch at Vue & get settled for the long haul ahead. Life is so tough.
OK so my comments thus far on the Air Asia X experience - not too bad. In comparison to the Singapore Air A380, yeah there was a lot to be desired but if one was prepared, as one was, the journey is just as standard as any other. Armed with a fully charged netbook (thanks Dave!) a hard drive full of movies (thanks Katie!) and BOSE head gear (thanks Peter!), I was ready to get into this flight.
The Hot Seat option was a good choice - extra leg room but it was just cruel to be up front a curtain behind the privileged Premium passengers and all their flat bed indulgence - life is so tough.
Many around me had neither entertainment nor comfort so when I was done devouring trash mags, they were kindly donated to the young lass to the left then further donated to another lady the row over. I even handed on the blow up pillow that came with the comfort kit to the little boy behind me - I'm sounding like the Mother Teresa of low cost travel.
Note taken that many seats were empty and promptly occupied by passengers who could spread out over the entire row - I'll be stalking the next flight as soon as the seatbelt sign is OFF - will I be pushy about it, YES. Do I want to sleep, YES.
Half way there and kicking it in the Plaza Premium Lounge at LCCT in KL.
LCCT = Low Cost Carrier Terminal and boy, how loooooooooooow can it goooooooooo - pretty basic but many prayers of gratefulness for the lounge.
After arriving and stopping into Starbucks (sinner!) and promptly spilling my first coffee of the day I packed up my sh*t and hunted down the lounge.
Only $50 gets you 5 hours of quiet, air conditioned comfort, very soft lounges to sit & charge ones laptop and not to mention the free flowing beer, soft drinks, coffee, beer, showers, massage chair, beer, chocolate icecream, fruit salad, beer, bottled water & some very suspicious hot food items that have DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT slapped all over it. oh - did i mention the beer? reeeeeeeeeeeefreshing.
Speaking of which - I better go check on the fridge again......ciao for now!!

Joseph Pulvirenti Hi Deb, I also have invested in the Q3 Bose noise cancelling head phones and known to be brilliant and worth every cent. Managed to buy them off e-bay at $192.00 and they retail at $499.00. I hope the food was okay on the plane. I have gone for the Gluten Free option. generally the soecial food requests are the better feeds so will wait and see what gives. It was lucky you did not miss your flight Deb. take plenty of pictures, will have to catch up when we all get back.
