Wow what a place. We managed to find a hotel with a vacancy inside the park as we really wanted to spend more than a day here. However our hotel was still 1hr30mins from the valley floor. The park was so beautiful and has to be my favourite place so far on the whole trip. Glaciers have shaped the valley at Yosemite and left some amazing granite formations. We stayed for three nights in San Francisco, two of which were spent at the pink castle house owned by Dennis Peron. The house was in Castro, the gay district, really great area that is virtually crime free. Dennis ran for Govenor of California in 1998 to legalize cannabis for medical use, he didn't win but passed proposition 215, which did legalize medical cannabis use.
