hello from the beautiful gimmelwald. ok so i was wrong they do have internet and a phone and electricity so we can keep in touch... i suppose. pictures and words cannot describe this place fully but i shall do my best. we got in midafternoon yesterday after traveeling up the steep mountainside by cable car. our hostel is literally as you step off the car so theres no chance of getting lost. of course theres only one road so eventually you would find what your after. we checked in to our room quite late ... about 6, a mixed dorm called the lovers suite haha. the views are spectacular and although it rained towards 5pm it didnt matter because its so cosey inside the hostel. it`s like a chalet right on the cliff face. we attempted to cook tea which didnt go so well but managed to scrape together some pasta and the highams infamous potato wedges. then for pudding we got gimmelwalds "horse s*** balls" (pardon my french) they were delicious :D after tea we went for a stroll around the village, and saw a traditional swiss horn player. we made use of the hostels hottub and gazed at the stars then got ready for bed, drank hot chocolate and played scrabble. what more could you ask for in life? who knows if we`ll ever come down! debs and phil xxx
