Debbi & Phil EuroTrip 2006
Well this is our final day in Prague, but feels like we haven't seen much of the city yet. We have done two day trips from our base in Prague, and are looking round the actual city today, before our overnight train to Budapest. Did make it to the Castle (got very lost, its like a mini-town in there) and Charles Bridge (which was beautiul at sunset/dusk) on the first night. The first day trip was to Kutna Hura, an hours train ride away where there is a chapel decorated with the bones of around 40,000 people. There are chandeliers and everything made out of bones, very bizzare. Yesterday we went to Cesky Krumlov, 4 hours train ride away. It was a lot of travelling but the town was beautiful, we're told like a minature Prague, and from the top of the church tower we could see almost the whole town. It was good to see these two smaller towns, away from the bigcity, tourist attractions of Prague. Nightlife wise the drinks are cheap and but the music awful. Although last night we did find a very cool celar bar with a secret entrance through a wine bar facade, we felt very in the know strolling through! On a final note, Prague offically has the best ice-cream in the world, 'Cream and Dream', you heard it here first..
