Hello to the internet!

My name is Laura and I'm from a tiny Hamlet in the middle ofthe British countryside North of London.

I've always loved to travel, and when my best friend began to go to University in Edinburgh it was theperfect opportunity to go somewhere new and meet new people.

One of the amazing people I met when I visted was Cerys. I met her in the summer of 2009 and we soon became close, eventually I grew the balls to ask her out and she said yes! I could not believe my luck.

We were 'together' for over two years. Together in the loosest sense of the word- at times we fought like animals, but then minutes later we'd be fine. It was hard to keep it going long distance but somehow, through a lot of 'turning blind eyes' to things, we made it work.

I cannot remember ever feeling happier.

During the blissfull time we had together, we talked about how much we'd love to see the world, discuessed where we'd go and what we'd do. She'd always wanted to go to Poland. I promised that one day I would take her all around the globe.

After the loss of two close friends Theo and Alex our relationship began to decay. Cerys was distant and I got sick. In late July of 2011 we had our final fight, she screamed and said and did things I didn't think I could forgive, so I went to see her in Derby that weekend. She threw things until I left and angrily I ignored her calls for the next week. Eventually, I answered one and instead of Cerys I heard her mum, in the same pitying tones I'd heard only months before.

I miss her every day. I still can't believe she's gone and it's hard ot imagine how I can possibly live without her. But I have to keep my promise.

In only a few months I'm going to start a tour of the UK, soon to be the world, hopefully one that may have intervals but will never end. I don't have any solid plans for where I'm going or what I'll see, but I cannot wait to begin.
