Arrived at Butterworth station via train 1 1/2 hours late.

I had intended to travel from here to Bangkok but once I arrived at the ticket office was told that all tickets were sold out.

I decided then to head into Thailand to Hat Yai and catch a train from there to Bangkok. I finally found a mini bus and I took it. I found the leg room so tight I had to put my feet up.

Once I arrived in Hat Yai, I went to the station and caught the same train I had originally planned to go on. This time they just added more carriages to the train. My carriage was on the platform before the train arrived. Thanks goodness I was able to get on it before the train departed, as the train was 1 1/2 hours late!

Again I had a sleeper had a comfortable night sleep.
