Today I went on a cruise down the Li River to Yangzhou. Despite today begin a foggy day the scenery was very pretty. I am sure if I went on a clearer day it would be much more prettier.
Once we got to Yangzhou we went through the market area where we met up again for another tour, this time to the Dragon Bridge and the bamboo boat ride.
This tour took us to a village outside Yangzhou where we were shown the Dragon bridge which was over 600 year old. We then went on a bamboo boat and saw the buffalo where we were able to pat them and feed them.
We continued on exploring the area on a bamboo ride. We ended the day by returning to Guilin.
The cost of the day was:
- 400 yuen for the cruise including lunch ($60 Australian)
- 200 yuen for the Dragon bridge and bamboo boat ride.
In the market, as I had been feeling a bit cold I brought myself another coat to wear over the coat I was wearing. This time I brought 'The North Face', which normally retail in Australia at over $150 for only 100 yuen ($15 Australian).
