I've been travelling for just under five weeks, i think it's time to start my journal... and back track through my recent adventures.

First stop, Auckland 06/09/2010. I remember feeling the relief of finally landing in New Zealand after ridiculous amounts of food and drink whilst watching films and playing games for just over 29 hours. Stepping out of the Airport into what can only be decribed as english weather was not the start i wanted..

We jumped onto the Airport shuttle bus and headed into the city. Fat Camel was the Hostel of choice where we planned to stay for a week before the start of the Kiwi Experience.

06/09/2010 - 12/09/2010 Auckland

This week consisted of climbing mount Eden in the pouring rain, mooching around the city centre playing life sized chess, Auckland Museum and making some great friends.

My oponion of Auckland is - It's just like any other city.

13/09/2010 - Kiwi Experience begins!!

The notorious big green bus arrives outside the Fat Camel about 8am. An early start considering the "quiet" last night out in Auckland with Ben, Craig and team Ireland. Tea pot anyone?!

After a quick stop at the top of Mount Eden we hit the road in the direction of Mercury Bay. Thames was our pit stop - Described by Craig as " A village where relatives enjoy each others company a little too much". Brilliant.
