HI Everyone
We arrived yesterday from Canada, beautiful place! We loved Niagra Falls and the area. We got completly saturated when we went on the boat into the Falls, I couldn't stop laughing, we had to wear these blue plastic 'rain coats', I had to try and cover every gap to stop the water and mist wetting me, but as we entered the falls the water was running down my legs, seeing the waterfall made you forget how wet you were though.
We went to Toronto, it was really nice there. The city is basically on the waterfront, like a harbour. Its here where we saw Chloe (friend) it was so good to see her, I shed a few tears when I surprised her at her work, after I cried I realised she must have reminded me of home and may have become a little home sick. I didnt realise how French, Canada is! Just to let Chloes family know, she has a little accent, it sounds wonderful! All those who have interest in Chloe back home I'll update you of how she has become, how can I put it??? Grown up, independent and oh yeah beautiful of course!
We went to Ontario, Montreal, Quebec (all in Canada) all of these cities were nice. We drove back down to Conneticut through Massachuesttes and Vermont. Vermont is a really nice scenic place, they are know for all the trees to change colour throught the different seasons and ski resorts. By this time I had enough Maple Syrup I think my teeth were aching. But we saw how they make the syrup and the different grades, you haven't had Maply Syrup until you have the real stuff. I'm bringing some home so Pancakes at my place!!!!!
On the way home we also saw the bridges that we normally only see on movies, the bridges that have them covered, sort of looking like a shed. It was really good to see, at one of them we stopped at there was a river going underneath, hence the need for bridge, it was really warm so everyone went for a swim, well almost everyone. I was happy getting wet up to the knees.
So back in Connecticut it is our last night here. Today we did a little more shopping, needed to buy more travel bags!!! We went to a water hole and did a bit of swimming and throwing the frisby. Conrad and I stopped to think today that we better wear warm clothes when we head home. Its been too warm here to wear even a long sleeve top! I didnt realise that the heat here is also different to back home, the humidity is higher, much more bearable than Hong Kong though. I can understand why people say the Australian heat is different.
We had a great time here in Conneticut and Canada, we wish we could stay longer! Any offers of support.........no I didnt think so. Well its less than a week before we get home, and we'll be back to plastic money, I still havent got used to the US paper $1 notes.
After a few days going upside down on those roller coasters and seeing all those movies stars, well maybe just the stars in the pathways with their name on it we'll be back home. I'm not too sure if I will get the chance to update you all again. Otherwise the Morris' will be back on Sunday, as they call it here 'The Downunder'
Lots of Love Danielle and Conrad
