We left Thermopolis and drove down through the rest of the Wind River Canyon which was along a river and well, canyon like.
We were dumped out onto the flat open range and drove for hours on two lane roads through the middle of Wyoming. I thought we were isolated in MT but OMG. Our GPS lost it's reading and no cell phone reception. At one point the road had no lines and there were no vehicles....I felt like we were in the Twilight Zone. I panicked when Liam asked what would happen if we had a flat tire.
I was very happy to see life in the form of some kind of factory off in the distance. Our imaginations went wild with what the possibilities of a factory in the middle of nowhere was manufactoring but it turned out it was owned by FMC which means it was some kind of mining or chemical thing.
We spent the night in a little town called Little America in an Inn that is as cute as can be. It's a nice departure from the franchise hotels that are uniform and a couple of steps above our cabin in Cooke City.
We are on our way home today and looking forward to seeing our animals.
